What can I expect from Volupia?
There will be regular (every month or every second month, to start with) mission briefs that function as "setting updates": new missions that characters are invited to participate in. These can range from a village in a snowy mountain range that invites characters to snuggle up and drink mulled wine by a fireplace for a while to landing on an abandoned spaceship and being asked to work together and use it in space combat. There may be glitches leading to mind links, temporary powers or power swaps or other shenanigans.

What characters can I bring?
Any characters that are 16 or older and capable of giving informed consent. Use your own best judgement whether that is the case for your character(s).

Any characters includes: canon characters, AUs of canon characters, CR AUs, original characters, fandom OCs, fictionalised versions of real persons, across all mediums. It does not include real persons.

So doubles and AUs are allowed? How does that work?
Yes. VOLUPIA INC operates across the multiverse and there are infinitely many universes with slight variations. Doubles as well as AU-versions of the same character are simply taken from different universes, as far as the IC explanation goes. Characters will be informed of the possibility that they might encounter different versions of themselves from different universes in advance.

OOCly, please respect people's preferences. If someone wants to play a fandom OC, that's cool. If someone else doesn't want to play with a fandom OC that's their character's best friend from another universe, that's cool, too.

How do I use the comm?
For each setting update, there will be a general log post as well as an ooc plotting post for people to use. Beyond that, the community is open for everyone to post in. However, please tag your entries. For more information, check the rules.

How does my character use the comm?
All characters are given a network device upon agreeing to their first mission with VOLUPIA INC, whether it remains their only mission or not. This gives all characters access to a network spanning the multiverse, time and space. The devices are capable of video, voice and text communication and feature various social media apps as well as some cute games. Characters not used to this standard of technology are given a manual to the devices.

Are there activity requirements?
No.

Is there a waiting period for new canons?
No, but please be courteous and properly warn for spoilers and give people the opportunity to avoid your character and any ooc information about them!

What kind of rewards does VOLUPIA INC offer?
Anything from money to saving someone's life. Rewards are at the player's discretion, but VOLUPIA INC wouldn't offer something that violates their core business values of clear communication and informed consent.

My character is injured or dead, what now?
VOLUPIA INC will offer to heal them or revive them. If you'd rather your character remains injured, that's up to player discretion, too, but don't blame it on VOLUPIA INC.

Can my character bring a pet?
Yep.

Can my character bring a baby?
No.

Can my character get an STD?

VOLUPIA is a dressing room with varying settings and themes, but an overall emphasis on emotional and physical intimacy as well as consent.

Characters are approached by a representative of VOLUPIA INC., a multi-verse company in the energy business -- emotional energy generated by intimacy, specifically. It's a prosperous business sector, meaning that the company can offer generous rewards for each mission characters agree to perform. Coercion of any kind taints the energy, meaning the company has no interest in coercing anyone to partake in missions or intimate acts of any kind.

The technology allowing characters to travel through the multiverse, time and space is not perfect yet and there may be risks and side effects. Characters are informed of this in advance and can choose per mission whether to partake or not and what their reward will be.
